As you all may have seen, or heard, I have a new book coming out on April 19, 2021. It’s being published by NineStar Press and the cover art has been designed by Natasha Snow.
So, what’s this new book all about? Here’s the blurb:
Devid Khandelwal desperately wants to experience the supernatural. After years of studying everything from crystals to tarot to spellcasting, nothing has happened that would tell him the Shadow Realm is real. And that kills Dev. As a last-ditch resort, he purchases a summoning board, an occult tool that will grant him his ultimate desires.
Cameron Habersham is Dev’s best friend. Cam loves Dev like a brother and will do anything for him, as long as he looks good doing it. So when Dev asks him to perform the summoning board’s ritual, he reluctantly agrees, but he knows nothing will come of it. Nothing ever does.
However, within a day, Dev and Cam’s lives are turned upside down as wishes begin to come true. They discover the existence of a supernatural world beyond their imagination, but peace between the species is tenuous at best.
Dev finally gets to see the Shadow Realm, meets the man of his dreams, and is inducted into the local male coven. But for all the desires that were summoned into existence, Dev soon realizes the magical community dances the line between good and evil, and Cam ends up on the wrong side of everything.
The old adage is true: Be careful what you wish for.
Now, I know what you’re all thinking… where are the sequels to Daimonion and Magic or Die? WHERE?!
Well, yeah. I know. Bad writer. Shiny new projects fun! But I can tell you the sequel to Magic or Die is called Blood and Sacrifice and I’m about 45,000 words into it – that’s about half way done. So, soon! I promise. Soon.
There are a few projects on the writing front. Summoned is coming out. Blood and Sacrifice is plodding along, there might be a secret project…shhhhh….and I’ve been working with a bunch of authors since August of 2020 to organize a fantastic online convention celebrating queer fiction! We have a bucket full of talented authors who are going to do everything online, streaming, reading from their books, and discussing all kinds of topics. It’s bound to be a grand day – so set aside May 08, 2021 – and come down to IQARUS website to find out about the panels, and register for the day – it’ll only cost you a donation to a charity – donation amount – your choice.
So, stay tuned! There’s lots coming out from the desk of J.P. Jackson – most likely a rogue demon or two – but you don’t really want to miss that chaos, do you?
